Daniel Lubetsky, the owner/founder of Kind, encompasses various admirable traits of an entrepreneur. Before founding Kind, Lubetsky founded PeaceWorks (a company that specializes in Mediterranean spreads). PeaceWorks allows Lubetsky to take on an issue that he was passionate about while working with the thing he loves most, FOOD! Since his childhood, Lubetsky has always felt a need to “build bridges,” he used his company PeaceWorks to do just that. PeaceWorks is a “not-ONLY-for-profit” organization that works towards building relationships in the Middle East through various economic factors. Lubetsky became uberly passionate about this issue while working on his college thesis titled “The Influence of Economic Factors in Resolving the Arab-Israeli Conflict.”

Surprisingly enough he ran across the idea of Kind when traveling and becoming dissatisfied with the lack of appetizing healthy snacks. He began to brainstorm various ways to make the snacks both healthy and tasty. Lubetsky decided that whole fruits and nuts would be the way to go to accomplish such a task. The company released its first Kind bar in 2004 creating a brand new category of snacks.

Lubetsky could not stop here, he not only made an awesome snack but an awesome mission. According to the company, “KIND is also committed to using its business as a vehicle for social change. Its KIND Movement inspires everyday acts of kindness (seventeen million and counting!), and The KIND Foundation works to create kinder, more empathetic communities.”

Through his various ventures, Daniel Lubetsky inspires me as a future entrepreneur to not only focus on business but people as well. We all must strive to show kindness and I applaud Lubetsky for reminding us of that in his brand.👏
